For many women at Linxon, engineering began with a desire to understand how things work and solve real-world challenges.
Sudha Marimuthu, a Project Engineer based in Chennai, India, reflects on how her interest evolved into a fulfilling career.
“I have always been curious about how things work and enjoy solving practical problems. Engineering allows me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.”
Her journey is one of dedication and perseverance. “I am proud of my consistency and continuous growth. Each step has required dedication, and I take pride in that journey

Across Linxon’s global offices, women engineers contribute to projects that support sustainable infrastructure and the energy transition.

That same curiosity is echoed by Kristen Russell, whose passion for technical problem-solving shaped her path:
“I was inspired to become an engineer because of my love for math and problem-solving. I enjoy understanding the technical details of a design and seeing how they fit into the bigger picture.”
She adds that her interests extend into the future of energy systems. “I’m especially interested in the electric power grid and the role engineers play in making electricity more resilient and environmentally responsible.“

Elana Al Jumile, a Junior Civil Construction Engineer in Sweden, shares what drives her work.
“Engineering combines creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Knowing that my work contributes to building a more sustainable future inspires me every day.”
She adds, “I am proud of embracing challenges and contributing to projects that support critical energy infrastructure.”


In India, Falguni Thakkar, a Lead Engineer – Civil, based in Vadodara, found inspiration in both curiosity and role models.
“I was curious about how structures are designed and inspired by Sudha Murthy’s journey. This motivated me to create a positive impact through engineering.”
Reflecting on her career, she adds, “I am proud of contributing to complex engineering projects while maintaining high standards and continuously learning and adapting.”
Kowsalya, an Associate Project Engineer in Chennai, shares a similar foundation rooted in curiosity:
“I have always been interested in solving problems and understanding how things work. Solving problems independently gave me a sense of excitement.”
Today, she continues to grow in a technically demanding field. “Choosing a career in core electrical engineering and continuing to grow in it is something I am truly proud of.”

For others, inspiration begins at home. Laureen Callos reflects on how early influences shaped her path:
“My inspiration to become an engineer started with my father, an electrical engineer. Watching his passion for solving problems and contributing to impactful projects motivated me to follow a similar path.”
Today, Laureen takes pride in the professional she has become. “Working in the EPC industry has allowed me to contribute to multiple projects while continuously learning.”
She emphasizes the importance of teamwork and growth: “For me, it’s not just about the work itself, it’s about helping others grow, sharing knowledge, and being part of something bigger across the projects I’m involved in.”


For Vishali Rathinavel, an Associate Project Engineer in Chennai, curiosity was sparked through early experiences with technology.
“My inspiration came from my interest in exploring new things and the environment I grew up in. My curiosity and passion for renewable energy motivated me to pursue engineering and drive me to turn ideas into real-world solutions.”
She reflects on her journey with confidence. “The challenges and responsibilities of my job have strengthened my resilience. I am proud of the person and engineer I have become.”

In Scotland, Jennifer Docherty, an Engineering Manager, reflects on the power of transformation and lifelong learning.
“I started my career in a completely different industry before retraining as an engineer. It was a challenging but rewarding decision.”
Today, she leads with purpose: “I am proud to lead a growing multidisciplinary team delivering projects that are critical to Scotland’s transmission network.”
