Global Energy Show Canada 2025: A week of progress, partnerships, and opportunities

June 13, 2025

Linxon joined thousands of energy professionals to explore how EPC firms can support Canada’s evolving power landscape.

This week, Linxon Americas participated in the Global Energy Show 2025 in Calgary, Alberta. With over 500 companies showcasing the latest in clean energy and infrastructure solutions, and more than 30,000 attendees on-site, the event was a powerful reflection of where the industry is headed. At booth 620 and throughout the conference, our team engaged with utilities, policymakers, and technology providers to discuss the role of EPC firms in accelerating the deployment of substations, grid connections, and integrated solutions for a resilient, low-carbon energy system. We came away with stronger market insight, renewed partnerships, and a clearer view of how EPC leaders like Linxon contribute to Canada’s energy future.

Canada’s energy hub and Linxon EPC role

With over 87% of the country’s oil and gas companies headquartered in Calgary, the city continues to serve as Canada’s energy and infrastructure hub. Calgary plays a key role not only in traditional energy sectors, but increasingly in the planning, permitting, and delivery of modern, low-carbon power systems.

At Linxon, we provide end-to-end EPC solutions for substations, battery energy storage systems, HV infrastructure, and interconnection. As the market continues to evolve, our focus remains on delivering safe, high-quality projects that enable utilities and developers to meet growing demand and integrate cleaner energy. Our team brought deep technical experience and execution focus to the conversations throughout the event.

Highlights from the week:

  • Linxon joined to more than 30,000+ and 500+ exhibitors displaying the latest in clean tech and infrastructure
  • There was a strong interest in energy storage and substation projects
  • High level conversations set the tone, including remarks from OPEC and Alberta’s Premier

The conference highlighted the need for practical delivery partners who can keep pace with market direction, regulatory timelines, and infrastructure demands. For companies like Linxon, it reinforced the importance of execution, permitting, and engineering coordination across every project stage.

At booth 630, we connected with developers, equipment suppliers, and decision-makers across the value chain. We came away optimistic about the growth we’re seeing in the Canadian market, encouraged by the quality of discussions, and energized by the opportunity to expand our footprint. We look forward to staying in touch with those we met and welcome continued collaboration.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by Booth 630 we look ahead to expanding our impact across Canada.
