With over 3 million pilgrims expected to arrive in Mecca this year, the successful delivery of the South Aziziya and Al Mashaer substation expansion projects ensures reliable power for one of the world’s largest gatherings of faith.
“This is more than a project, it’s a commitment to enabling spiritual journeys with dependable infrastructure.”
Hassan Merhi – Managing Director, Linxon AMEA
The projects were successfully delivered to the client, Saudi Electric Company (SEC), as part of SEC’s short-term initiative to energize the 380 kV Arafat West substation and five newly constructed 110/13.8 kV distribution substations. These efforts support the broader development of infrastructure across the holy sites.
Linxon’s scope of work in this project includes engineering, design, installation and commissioning for the reinforcement of the existing substations with new 380 kV GIS switchgears, control & protection and all associated civil construction and mechanical works for the new scope.
