The design, supply construction, installation, testing and commissioning of two 132/11kV substations named Rabwah and Green Hills forming part of the Dubai Hills estate development at Mohammed Bin Rashid city in the Emirates of Dubai, UAE.
The Rabwah & Green Hills substations are securing 100% of power required for the new Dubai Hills Estate development.
The main client is EMAAR Group – The main developer in the United Arab Emirates -, End user is DEWA (Dubai Water & electricity Authority), Technical consultant is M/s EPE Energoprojects & Financial consultant is M/s Ellisdon/Omnium.
The two stations will be connected to Dubai main 132 KV network to secure a non-interrupted power feed to the new development, The new development comprise a mega mall, massive high rise buildings, various sizes villas, business area, Golf court & future expansion.
The two stations will rely on a 132-kilovolt (kV) GIS (gas-insulated switchgear) substation from Linxon (an ABB and SNC-Lavalin company) to transfer power from Dubai 132 KV network to the Dubai Hills Estate development consisting of 7×132 KV GIS bays (08 bays for Rabwah), 3×50 MVA power transformers, 1×10 MVAR shunt reactor (only for Grenhils), 3×11/0.4 KV Earthing/auxiliary transformers, 06×11 KV capacitor banks, 74×11 KV AIS switchgear, Protection & Control system.
The project also includes 5 remoted ends modification, CCTV system, digital access, digital control and telecommunications systems.
