The Amiral 380/230 kV Bulk Supply Point (BSP) in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, is a highly complex and strategic project for the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). This substation is designed to meet the demanding energy requirements of the Amiral petrochemical complex.

Linxon is delivering the full turnkey scope, including engineering design and construction of the 380/230 kV BSP substation. The project incorporates advanced high-voltage technology such as a 380 kV Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS), a 230 kV Hybrid GIS (HGIS), and a 750 MVA transformer supplied by Hitachi Energy. It also involves the installation of overhead transmission lines and 230 kV cables.

The complexity of this project lies in integrating high-voltage systems to support heavy industrial loads within a tight schedule, while ensuring reliability and stability for the Eastern Province grid. Linxon’s proven expertise in managing large-scale, technically demanding projects ensures successful delivery of this critical infrastructure.

Once completed, the Amiral BSP will enable the petrochemical complex to achieve full production capacity by its 2027 launch and will strengthen SEC’s transmission network, reducing outage risks and supporting Saudi Arabia’s industrial growth and economic diversification goals.
