Expansion and installation of bus reactors at Makkah Housing 380 kV & Jeddah North East 380 kV

The project falls within the Saudi Electricity Company’s short-term plan to improve the stability of the network in the various stations. The order includes the expansion and installation of bus reactors at Makkah and Jeddah North East substations.

To meet the evolving grid requirement reactive power compensation and power supply reliability of 380 kV Grid in Western Region of Saudi Electricity Grid, Linxon will supply design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, installation & commissioning of:

RBG-2 BSP

1) 380 kV GIS expansion -2 bays

2) 380 kV, 150 MVAR reactor – 2 nos

Makkah Housing (MKH)

1) 380 kV hybrid GIS- 2 nos

2) 380 kV, 80 MVAR reactor- 2 nos

Jeddah North East (JNE) 380kV BSP

1) 380 kV, 150 MVAR reactor- 1 nos
