Linxon is executing the expansion of the Taif East Governorate Bulk Supply Point (BSP) through a turnkey solution that includes complete engineering design for a 380/230 kV substation. The project features advanced high-voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) technology from Hitachi Energy, ensuring reliable and efficient power transmission for the region.
The scope of work includes the integration of one Dia 380 kV GIS and line reactors. This upgrade enhances operational flexibility and scalability, delivering a cost-effective and space-saving solution that strengthens the grid and prepares it for future renewable energy integration.
The TEG BSP expansion supports the Kingdom’s clean energy objectives by enabling the evacuation of additional green power from the HADEN-2 PV and HADEN plants. It contributes directly to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 target of renewable capacity and aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative’s emission reduction goals.
By upgrading the existing BSP, Linxon is helping to ensure operational efficiency and long-term scalability, reinforcing the infrastructure needed for a sustainable energy future.
