Tanajib Cogeneration 380 kV BSP Switching Station, Saudi Arabia, Eastern province

Linxon has been contracted by Samsung C&T Corporation to supply the 380 kV gas insulated substation (GIS) to the cogeneration plant. 

Linxon plays a comprehensive role in delivering a new substation for end clients Aramco, Marubeni and Taqa. Specializing in end-to-end services encompassing design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of Hitachi Energy power products, Linxon’s involvement included a full engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning solution.

This milestone underscores Linxon’s commitment to meeting the region’s energy infrastructure needs. The Tanajib cogeneration and desalination offers an estimated net capacity of 940 MW of electricity generation, steam output of 1,084 tons/hour and desalinated water output of 23,856 cubic metres/day. This new substation connects that plant to Tanajib oil and gas facilities in the development area owned by Saudi Aramco.
