As a leader in the engineering and construction industry, we recognize that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is crucial for advancing sustainable energy infrastructure. From power generation to transmission projects, STEM disciplines underpin our daily work. Today, we proudly highlight Linxon’s commitment to supporting future leaders and innovative thinkers in this dynamic field, showcasing two examples – one from our operations in Americas and one from UK.
Why STEM matters to Linxon
At Linxon, our roots in engineering and construction shape us as problem-solvers and innovators dedicated to a safer, more reliable energy landscape. This is why we invest in fostering technical skills and hands-on learning experiences for students eager to enter fields that energize our world.
Internship program expanding in Americas
To empower the next generation of industry leaders, Linxon Americas is expanding its internship program to provide students with practical experience across engineering and EPC projects. Partnering with respected institutions like NC State University—recognized as one of the top engineering schools in the United States by U.S. News & World Report—Linxon offers students a comprehensive view of the energy industry, covering solutions from renewable energy and data centers to offshore wind, rail, and conventional generation.
Our program benefits students by
Providing hands-on experience: Engaging students in real projects across Linxon’s full range of solutions.
Cultivating practical problem-solving skills: Developing students’ abilities to find practical solutions in complex, real-world settings.
Preparing students for professional impact: Equipping students with advanced tools, technologies, and industry insights, enabling them to excel in varied and demanding professional environments.
Our interns experience the realities of the EPC field firsthand. Here’s what some of them had to say:
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern at Linxon. With a background in Software Engineering, I’ve refined my skills in addressing complex problems and collaborating across diverse teams. Delving into the energy industry’s challenges, I’ve gained exposure to new tools and technologies that optimize systems. This experience has been pivotal, and I’m excited to contribute to the future of sustainable energy.”
— Vaibhavi Sangawar, Engineering Intern
“Joining Linxon as an intern has been incredible. Understanding power systems from an EPC perspective has helped me see electrical engineering in action. Working closely with the business development team has enriched my professional journey and personal growth by adding a practical dimension to technical solutions.”

Championing STEM education in the UK
We are dedicated to promoting a strong STEM education in the UK. Our exceptional team of STEM Ambassadors is actively volunteering to create a significant impact within our community. Over the past year, our STEM Ambassadors in the UK have participated in over 20 initiatives at a range of universities, colleges, and schools. They have dedicated around 100 hours of volunteer work, which has positively influenced more than 3,000 individuals by
Empowering future generations: By investing in STEM education, we equip young minds with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven world.
Bridging the skills gap: The UK faces a significant skills shortage in STEM fields. Supporting STEM education helps create a pipeline of talented individuals ready to meet the demands of the future workforce.
Promoting diversity and inclusion: A diverse STEM workforce brings varied perspectives, driving creativity and innovation. We must ensure equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their background.
Driving economic growth: STEM careers are among the highest paying and most fulfilling. By encouraging more students to pursue STEM, we contribute to a stronger, more resilient economy.
Join us in supporting STEM education to create real change in our communities and inspire the next generation of innovators. Together, we can make a lasting impact on society.
