Recently, Linxon and Hitachi Energy had the honor of hosting a Senior Management delegation from National Grid at the Hitachi Energy Factory located in Oerlikon, Switzerland.
The primary objective of the visit was to provide a tour of the advanced EconiQ® Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) production facility of Hitachi Energy, and to discuss ways how the c-operation between all parties could be further intensified, to support delivery of the unprecedented level of investment in AC substations that National grid will implement to upgrade the transmission grid in England and Wales.
The collaboration between National Grid, Linxon, and Hitachi Energy is intended to strengthen co-operation among the three organizations as they look to support the UK’s goal of optimizing grid capacity and capability to meet evolving energy demands.
