Linxon has completed the construction of a 400/220/132 kV Air Insulated (AIS) substation at Saharsa in the state of Bihar for ERSS XXI Transmission Limited. This company is a 100% owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, the largest state-owned transmission utility of India.
The power demand in the state of Bihar is steadily increasing in this agricultural area. To meet the evolving grid requirements and improve power supply reliability, the interstate transmission network has been expanded covering three new 400 kV substations at Saharsa, Chandauti and Motihari.
“We are proud to be associated with this expansion of the power transmission grid of Bihar, supporting regional growth and the ramp-up of transmission and distribution infrastructure. This was yet another good opportunity for Linxon to supply EPC turnkey expertise and state-of-the art substation solutions,” said Dinesh Chadha, Managing Director of Linxon in Asia Pacific.
“The project was delivered amidst the pandemic, so I want specifically to thank our Client, the Linxon team and other stakeholders that made this achievement possible.”
