The Vineyard Wind project marks the inaugural major offshore wind endeavor in the United States. We, at Linxon, are honored to have been chosen to perform this Onshore Substation, bringing our expertise and innovative capabilities to the growing North American Offshore Wind Industry.
This project illustrates the seamless fusion of technological advancement and operational excellence.
In this project, we have implemented two Synchronous Condensers to ensure power stability and have utilized Air Insulated Switchgear technology, all strengthened by our cutting-edge 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM). This has helped us achieve enhanced efficiency while minimizing our environmental footprint.
Overcoming the challenges of the past year, we have deftly navigated toward the project’s final milestone. We are now just weeks away from concluding our responsibilities and supporting what is poised to become the “Forever First” utility-scale offshore wind project in the United States.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vineyard Wind and Eversource Energy for entrusting us with this endeavor. We are also thankful to the more than 35 unions, suppliers, and dedicated members of our project team who have collectively made this monumental undertaking possible.
