His roles have spanned from Testing & Commissioning Engineer at ABB to Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, with each position adding layers of experience and expertise.

Motivated by the EPC industry’s challenging environment and unique dynamics, Zaki was inspired to join Linxon. “EPC business has always attracted me as it requires full control from scratch to handover, which is exactly what Linxon offers,” he shares.

Zaki’s leadership style is defined by his energetic and proactive approach. “I like to be always on my toes when it comes to running after deliverables. I have to be on top of everything so it can be managed properly,” he explains. This dynamic leadership ensures that every project is executed with precision and efficiency.

“Engineering is the core of our business. Having optimized solutions will enhance the output,” Zaki emphasizes. His role involves improving processes, fostering cross-functional alignment, and enhancing the quality of deliverables. By focusing on skill enhancement for engineers, he believes that combining engineering knowledge with contract management, finance, leadership, and project management competencies can significantly maximize output.

For Zaki, work is not just a means of employment but an integral part of his life and vocation. “For most of us, a job is one-third of our day. Thus, it’s important that we have a deep-seated passion for it. I always want to go the extra mile and consider the job as life because most things can be linked to it,” he reflects. His passion for his work is evident in his drive to constantly improve and innovate.

I always think of the past first for lessons learned and experience gained, then looking at the future is easy,” he says.
