Stacey’s journey has been defined by transformative leaps. She began her career at Linxon as an office assistant, and then progressed to roles such as document controller and junior buyer, ultimately leading to her current position. Interestingly, her career started in the classroom, where she taught elementary education before venturing into the business world five years ago. Surprisingly, Stacey discovered striking parallels between her teaching experience and her current role at Linxon, including effective communication, adaptability, organization, patience, and emotional intelligence, among others.

She’s now happily integrated in the supply chain team, where her responsibilities include resource sourcing, vendor management, and procurement planning. She’s proud of the way in which the buyer role supports project execution by ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services. And there’s even more to her role as she helps maintain quality standards, control costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Stacey’s actions demonstrate that giving back can take many forms, and her commitment to diversity and inclusion is just as essential as her work in sustainability. By working towards a more equitable and inclusive world, Stacey is making a significant impact on society as a whole. She firmly believes that every individual, regardless of their background or identity, deserves to belong and be treated with respect and dignity. As a passionate advocate for minorities and the LGBTQ+ community, she actively fights for their rights and opportunities.

“I was drawn to the opportunity for career advancement and growth,” Stacey adds, explaining why she chose to join Linxon. And as a single parent raising two boys with disabilities, she’s very pleased about the flexibility and strong emphasis on work/life balance she finds at the company. She’s also given back just as much, having won our Employee of the Year award in 2021 for going above and beyond.

Outside the workplace, Stacey is involved in a venture with her children that focuses on creating sustainable clothing. And here her external interests come back full circle to her passion for sustainability: “It’s truly exciting to contemplate how the sustainability practices I learn at Linxon can be implemented in my own venture. I’m proud to be part of a company that embodies excellence, collaboration, and a shared vision for a better world.”
